ESTATE AGENT DÜSSELDORF-OBERKASSEL
Your estate agent for Oberkassel
Oberkassel is the most expensive residential area in the city: Gründerzeit period buildings, the Rhine meadows and the Old Town within sight. Anyone selling here has a sought-after property – and should still know exactly what it is worth. I value and sell apartments, houses and apartment buildings in Oberkassel and neighbouring Niederkassel.

LOCATION & CHARACTER
Living in Oberkassel and Niederkassel
Oberkassel lies on the left bank of the Rhine, directly connected to the Old Town and city centre via the Oberkassel Bridge and the Rheinknie Bridge. Luegallee is the main artery with shops, cafés and the light rail; around Barbarossaplatz and Belsenplatz, Gründerzeit and Art Nouveau buildings define the streetscape.
The Rhine meadows are the neighbourhood’s living room – for walks, sport and, every July, the big funfair (Kirmes). Niederkassel adjoins to the north: quieter, with more post-war buildings and detached houses, and a strong Japanese community with its own school and the EKŌ House of Japanese Culture.
BUYERS & DEMAND
Who buys here – and what is in demand
Demand is mainly for spacious period apartments with stucco and balconies, penthouses with Rhine views and family apartments near schools. Many buyers come from the city centre or from international companies, or are families already renting in the neighbourhood. Houses rarely come onto the market and are correspondingly sought after.
VALUATION
What determines the price in Oberkassel
- Proximity to the Rhine meadows and Luegallee
- Period building fabric: stucco, ceiling height, condition of façade and roof
- Floor, lift and balcony or loggia
- Rhine view or skyline view
- Condition of the common property and maintenance reserve
As a Dipl.-Ing. and DEKRA-certified expert, I inspect your property myself – including the building fabric, heating and possible damage. The result is a price that buyers can understand.
